About HandsOn River Region

HandsOn River Region was established in 1974 as the centralized hub for volunteerism in Montgomery County. In 1993, it become the Volunteer and Information Center after implementing Information & Referral (now known as 211). HandsOn River Region currently serves between 40 and 60k individuals annually with its programs and services.

Our Mission

The mission of HandsOn River Region is to mobilize volunteers and connect people, information, and services to meet local needs and build a strong, caring community.
