Humane Society of Elmore County

HSEC is a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure the best possible quality of life for animals, to prevent cruelty to animals, to stop pet overpopulation, to strive for the humane care, treatment, and well-being of all animals through education and information and to promote public health and safety in regard to human and animal interaction.

The shelter is an Open Admission shelter taking in over 5,000 domestic animals annually from residents and Animal Control Officers in Elmore County. HSEC provides a safe and humane environment for the 250-300 animals in their care and also finds homes for as many of them as possible.
