For over 50 years, HandsOn River Region has proudly hosted the Volunteer of the Year Awards to honor the individuals and groups who make a powerful difference through selfless service. Each year during National Volunteer Week, we recognize those who go above and beyond to uplift their neighbors, strengthen our communities, and inspire a spirit of compassion across the River Region.
Award Categories:
- Adult - Honors an individual whose lasting volunteerism has significantly impacted one or more community causes.
- Adult Group – Recognizes a team of adults volunteering collaboratively to address community needs.
- Youth (College student and younger) - Celebrates a young person who embodies the spirit of service and leadership.
- Youth Group (College students and younger) - Acknowledges school- or faith-based youth teams working together for community good.
