Volunteer: Hands of Hope: Community Care Kits ProjectThe Hands of Hope: Community Care Kits Project will be held by Successful Connections Nonprofit Organization in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy of love and service. For those in the community who are in need, such as the elderly, homeless people, and low-income families, volunteers will put together and deliver care kits that are stocked with snacks, personal hygiene products, and inspirational sayings. She does not have a safe backdoor exit from her home in case of an emergency. The homeowner is 69 years of age and a veteran of the U. S. Army. Her deceased husband was a Marine veteran. With enough volunteers, we will trim shrubbery and scrape and paint backyard storage building. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
