The Homeless Sleeping Mat Ministry is hosting a serve day at Eastern Hills Baptist Church on Saturday, July 25th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The Homeless Sleeping Mat Ministry is composed of individuals who have a heart for the homeless people in our community. With the support of Eastern Hills Baptist Church, and partnering with Dalriada Global Methodist Church, the group weaves soft sleeping mats using plastic bags.
It takes 2,005 grocery size bags to make one mat. We rely on volunteers with serving hearts to help us with the process of smoothing, folding, cutting and looping donated bags to weave our mats.
All are welcome to join us as we support as we weave mats for our unhoused neighbors.
