Summer Feeding Program

Description

Volunteer responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with meal preparation and packaging
  • Loading and unloading food, water, and supplies onto the canteen
  • Helping distribute meals, snacks, and bottled water at designated locations
  • Greeting and interacting with community members in a friendly and respectful manner
  • Assisting with crowd management and maintaining an orderly distribution process
  • Helping set up and break down tables, tents, and serving areas
  • Monitoring inventory and restocking supplies as needed
  • Providing information about Salvation Army programs and services
  • Assisting with cleanup and sanitation procedures following meal distribution
  • Supporting special outreach activities and community engagement efforts

Volunteers should be dependable, compassionate, and willing to work as part of a team. No special experience is required, and training will be provided as needed.

Days of feeding:  Weekly ONLY on Tuesday & Thursday

PLEASE READ: Volunteers will meet at the Carter Hill Road location and may leave after loading supplies onto the canteen to another site. Volunteers need to arrive on time as feeding starts at 11 a.m.
