Who We Are
Hospice is especially significant for patients who want to focus on quality of life. While patients admitted to hospice typically have a life expectancy of six months or less, studies show that patients in hospice experience a higher quality of life with less pain than those who decline hospice. Comfort Care helps their patients make the most of every moment.
What We Do
Patient volunteers interact directly with patients and their families, providing non-medical attention. Their time includes visiting with patients, offering comfort, listening to stories and memories, reading aloud, playing cards and games, helping with chores or providing bereavement support.
