Emergency Management Agency, Montgomery City-County

The mission of the Montgomery City/County EMA is to serve the residents of Montgomery through effective planning to minimize the effects of all disasters. EMA manages and coordinates efforts toward a rapid recovery from disasters and is committed to effective actions to prevent the disasters we can and to reduce the impact of those over which we have no control.

The EMA assists communities in severe weather preparedness as well as being ready to respond to the needs which may occur due to severe weather. EMA works with emergency responders and as the liaison between several agencies during emergency situations. Preparedness and response are addressed on a regular basis to ensure that the city stands ready to respond to emergencies.
