Sickle Cell Foundation of the River Region

The Sickle Cell Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of those suffering with the disease while working closely with individuals and agencies conducting research.

The Foundation provides a wide range of programs and services that include:

• Public awareness of Sickle Cell Disease and its seriousness and the need for early detection
• Sickle Cell educational awareness training 
• Sickle Cell screening
• Counseling for family members
• Referral services for medical, financial and psychosocial support
• Sickle Cell support group meetings
• Transportation for emergency and medical purposes
• Tutorial assistance for children with Sickle Cell disease
• Follow-up of all clients with Sickle Cell disease from infancy to death

ALL OF THESE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES ARE FREE.
