Who We Are
The mission of the Alabama 19th Judicial Circuit Veterans Treatment Court Program is to ensure that no justice involved veteran is left behind. The program identifies justice involved veterans in need, offers them assistance, assesses their needs and provides them with resources and guidance to resolve their problems.
The goal of the mentor program is to provide the justice involved veteran with a positive role model who can assist with readjustment into civilian life, treatment programs, the VA system and community resources.
What We Do
Participants support the veteran through their readjustment to civilian life, through their current challenges with resources including the Alabama 19th Judicial Circuit Veterans Court Program, treatment, VA systems; and act as mentors, advocates or sponsors. Mentors stand with the veterans during their monthly court review and are available at other times to provide support and resources to the veterans during their time in the program.
