Who We Are
The Freedom Rides Museum, operated by the Alabama Historical Commission, protects, preserves and interprets the history of the 1961 Freedom Rides along with the historic Greyhound bus station that houses the museum.
What We Do
The Freedom Rides Museum uses engaging guided tours, exhibits, special events, artwork and firsthand testimonies to share the story of the 1961 Freedom Rides and the Freedom Riders who risked their lives and livelihoods to bring about integrated inter-state transportation.
