HandsOn River Region is looking for dedicated and creative volunteers to serve on the Christmas Clearinghouse Committee. This vital initiative brings together resources, volunteers, and community organizations to ensure that families in need across the River Region experience the joy of the holidays.
About Christmas Clearinghouse:
Christmas Clearinghouse is one of our signature programs, providing holiday
assistance to families in need by connecting them with donors and ensuring
equitable, coordinated support throughout the region. The initiative helps
prevent duplication of services and ensures that every family has a brighter
holiday season.
Committee Member Responsibilities:
- Assist with program coordination, donor recruitment, and gift logistics.
- Help plan and execute community engagement efforts, including donation drives and volunteer events.
- Support data management and recipient matching through our online portal.
- Attend regular committee meetings and contribute to planning discussions.
- Serve as a holiday ambassador, promoting the mission and heart of Christmas Clearinghouse.
Ideal for Volunteers Who:
- Are organized, compassionate, and enthusiastic about holiday service.
- Have experience or interest in event planning, donor engagement, logistics, or community outreach.
- Can commit to serving from July to December 2025, with flexible monthly meetings and tasks.
- Want to make a meaningful difference for hundreds of families in the River Region.
Committee Type: Development Committee (as defined in
agency bylaws), with opportunities for advisory roles.
Time Commitment: ~4 hours/month (July–Dec), with increased time during
December
